Tahaka (South Africa)
Tahaka is a young and new emerging auto design and production company which will soon pave way to Africas auto industry. The founder of this unique design movement is Samora Ramusa. He points out by saying "We are currently focusing our energy on supercar production while developing an institution that is non-existent in Africa, which is called auto-design. Due to material, machinery and financial limitations, Tahaka will focus on craft production until adequate development. For now our prime focus is on generating public awareness, generating funds and developing ourselves, to the like of the world of the supercar producers". Through this process we will develop the youth of Africa and create an environment that will shelter their ideas and let them expand their thinking abilities. Tahaka will have a road show showcasing their innovations with the following objectives.
• To highlight the foresight of the youth
• To trigger the young creative minds
• To showcase our hard work and intellectual property
• Empowering the youth with positive examples and innovative products
• To mobilize and unite the youth and community(community gardening, library and design centre)
• Exposure for Tahaka as a brand and movement
• Boost our people’s Self-esteem
• An opportunity to get support from our own home base
• why we are keeping the road show as a local event
We greatly appreciate the opportunity to be exposed on a national level
we are more than willing to share Tahakas objectives, aims and goals.
why we will not make the car as a subject matter of the interview
We rather generalise on our side projects than focus on our current project as many Ideas which Tahaka would like to share with the nation
youth development via design centre
Auto design institution in the making
Revival of the robot contest
Agriculture programme
Sketch design book compilation
Tahaka as a movement (uplift and develop the community through technology)
Creating a global platform where young African youths can exchange ,assist and develop concept design from all spheres of discipline e.g social networks(facebook AADA)

Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG by VÄTH
The tuning job begins with a power upgrade on the 6.3 liter unit that dials the noise from 571 PS (420 kW / 563 hp) up to 615 PS (452 kW / 607 bhp) and 680 Nm (501 lb-ft) of torque. That helps the SLS reach a top speed of 330 km/h (205 mph) and do the 0 to 100 km/h sprint in just 3.6 seconds.
VÄTH adds a high-performance exhaust that comes with a pneumatic valve system which allows the driver to manually control the exhaust sound from the cockpit that stretches between a throaty sporty sound to a more quiet rumble.
For the wheels, VÄTH adds its own 9.5J x 20-inch and 11.5J x 20-inch rims wrapped in 265/30ZR20 and 315/25ZR20 tires, front and back, respectively.
The VÄTH Comfort Suspension lowers the SLS AMG by 25 millimeters.
Visually, the German tuner has a refreshingly subtle, less-is-more take on the SLS AMG which includes an integrated front lip spoiler for more downforce on the front axle, as well as a boot lid spoiler with a trailing edge and side skirts with improved brake ducts.
For the inside, there's a leather sport steering wheel that can also be finsished with carbon or wood trims. A speedometer that reads up to 400 km/h is installed and black floor mats with VÄTH logos are added too. The tuner also offers door trimming in leather.
The complete package costs €32,670.
Mercedes SLS AMG by MEC Design
MEC Design has released the first pictures of their new styling package for the Mercedes SLS AMG.
Built for a customer in Florida, the car has an aggressive body kit with new bumpers, revised side skirts, a trunk-mounted spoiler and a prominent rear diffuser. Other highlights include a stainless steel sport exhaust system, a hydraulic lift-up suspension and 20/21-inch alloy wheels.
Inside, designers added carbon fiber trim, an Alcantara sports steering wheel and special floor mats with the MEC logo.
